EBAR/ RAMIE BURNS / SIFTED RECORDINGS
DJ EBAR(aka Eric Reithler-Barros) has been spinning cutting-edge
underground dance music professionally since 1991. Currently specializing
in underground tribal tech-house and progressive for club venues
and deep, funky house for lounge/bar venues. He is currently based
in Manhattan and is managed by Tight Artist Management/Maison
Music who also handles
Carl Craig, Gene Farris, D’Julz, DJ Pierre etc.
In February 2003, EBAR launched his own record label Sifted Recordings
in association with his studio partner Ramie Burns. The label is manufactured
by Universal and distributed internationally by Waako records. Sifted
Recordings is comprised of three sub-labels that
each specialize in different genres: Sifted Recordings Green (tech-house,
tribal, progressive house); Sifted Recordings Red (techno, breaks,
hard-house); and Sifted Recordings Blue (house, deep-house, funky
house). The debut release on Sifted Recordings Green, titled
“
Push The Air” and featuring spoken word by poetess Bianca Dino,
is set to take the scene by storm. With three mixes reflecting EBAR and
Ramie’s production diversity in chill progressive, tech-tribal
and funky breaks, the single will be heavily seeded at the Winter
Music
Conference 2003 in Miami. More information at www.siftedrecordings.com.
Ebars years of experience, coupled with his ability to read dancefloors,
adapt his set and fluctuate energy levels has impressed crowds around
the world and led him to play with the likes of Josh
Wink, Barbara Tucker, Tiesto and Moby.
